In continuous support to farmers and fisherfolks in the Bangsamoro region, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) distributed essential equipment to cooperatives to enhance productivity in their fields.
On June 3, the One Thirteen Agri-Business and Merchandising Agriculture Cooperative in Barangay Tibuhol, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur, received one (1) unit of Tractor. This equipment is intended to revolutionize farming practices, easing the burden of manual labor.
On June 4, the Kafagu Fishing Association and Basilan Ulama Council received one (1) unit for each generator, which will ensure an uninterrupted power supply during fishing operations and optimize efficiency and safety at sea.
Meanwhile, the Tumangas Multipurpose Cooperative of Barangay Tumangas, Parang, Sulu, was furnished with three units of Motorized Boats on June 6.
This support, made possible through the Special Development Fund (SDF), aims to support former combatants and conflict-affected areas with their livelihood productivity.
By equipping farmers and fisherfolk with the equipment they need, the Bangsamoro Government, through MAFAR, reaffirms its commitment to ensuring food security and uplifting the lives of its people.
