The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform – Special Development Fund (MAFAR-SDF) successfully handed over four units of Mini Rice Mills with De-stoners and Generator sets to deserving cooperatives.
MAFAR-SDF Program Officer for Operation and Coordination Roslainie A. Mamalaguia, MAPDS, led the turnover ceremony of the machinery to the four coops including Makinugon Farmers Producers Cooperative and Salam Laguitan Agriculture Cooperative from Maguindanao del Norte, Wal Workers Association from Sultan Kudarat Province, and the One Thirteen Agri-Business and Merchandising Cooperative from Zamboanga Sibugay.
The Mini Rice Mills with De-stoners enhance efficiency by streamlining the rice milling process, ensuring higher-quality rice production. These units provide a sustainable power source by pairing with Generator sets, overcoming challenges posed by unreliable electricity supply in rural areas.
With this machinery, these cooperatives are expected to increase productivity and economic growth within their communities.
