COTABATO CITY- MAFARLENGKE exhibitor from the six provinces of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao generated Php 108,000.00 thousand during the 5th Bangsamoro Founding Anniversary.
The MAFAR Local Exchange and Network of Goods in any Kind of Emergency aims to revolutionize local commerce by fostering accessibility to fresh and reasonably priced agricultural and fishery products.
Held at MAFAR Compound, BGC from January 22-25 and participated by farmers and fisherfolk from (3) Maguindanao del Norte, (3) Maguindanao del Sur, (3) Lanao del Sur, (3) Basilan, (3) Sulu and (2) Tawi-Tawi.
During the closing program, Director General of Fisheries Services, Pendatun S. Patarasa, said, As we end the MAFARlengke exhibition, I thank every exhibitor from the different provinces. As you participate in our program, it signifies that you are committed to sharing the authentic Bangsamoro agri-fishery product.
He said that we need to show what the Bangsamoro’s products because we are proud of the development and improvement of our products. Let’s empower the Bangsamoro people.
The exhibitors from the mainland are Magungaya sa Langgapanan Farmers and Fisherfolks Marketing Cooperative, Brgy. Adzal (SWC) Agribusiness Marketing Cooperative, Markadzunnisa Health Services Cooperative3 Cooperative’s/ Association, Tereken Agriculture Cooperative, Kalanganan Womens’s Association, Nurush Shabhab For Harmony, Peace and Development, Haro Farm Agriculture Cooperative, Ig-abai Small Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Kabuhayang Magniniyog Agriculture Cooperative.
For BaSulTa, Baas Women Cassava Home Made Food Trading Association, Maloong Canal Rose Women’s Association, Basilan Fisherfolks and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Batu Itum Integrated Services Association, Kantitap Consumer’s Cooperative, Timbangan Women’s Association, Panglima Sugala Enterprise and Wrapsarap Farmers Association.
Meanwhile, Director II for Agriculture Services Engr. Ismail Guiamel said the MAFARlengke is an avenue for our farmers and fisherfolk to have the opportunity to display their products and to show the public what the Bangsamoro people can do.
