MAFAR conducts capacity building in CFVGL, FLA for personnel

COTABATO CITY- The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform continues its efforts to provide appropriate services for the Bangsamoro people to strengthen the skills of its personnel through various trainings for 13 fisheries personnel.

Fisheries Regulatory Law Enforcement Division, specifically the Regulatory and Licensing Section headed by FRT Bambai M. Lumpingan, Chief of FRLS, has conducted a two-day training on Capacity building on Commercial Fishing Vessel, Gear License (CFVGL), and Fishpond Lease Agreement (FLA) for Regulatory and Licensing staff on August 2-3, 2022.

The training aims for the participants to further learn and become more knowledgeable and proficient in the basic procedures used in the proper documentation of registration and issuance of licenses for commercial fishing vessels (CFVs), commercial fishing gears (CFGs), Fishworker and Fishpond Lease Agreement (FLA) specifically during an inspection as well as estimating the gross tonnage (GT) of a vessel.

In his message, Director II for Operations, Fisheries Macmod D. Mamalangkap, Ph.D., warmly greeted everyone and thanked the Resource Speakers, especially for accepting MAFAR’s invitation.

“The conduct of this activity for the new personnel of FRLED Regulatory and Licensing is timely due to the continuous efforts of MAFAR to inculcate more knowledge for the personnel assigned to this division and meet the services for the Bangsamoro people.
