FARMERS FROM SULTAN MASTURA TRAINED BY MAFAR THROUGH HVCDP

In response to their request, the MAFAR through High Value Crops Development Program conducted “Training on Banana and Livestock Production Management’. The training conducted on January 8, 2021 at Barangay Tariken, Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao.

Twenty farmers from the said barangay successfully trained by the said banner program from the ministry. The training was a response of the mafar in their submitted request encompasses towards improving their skills and knowledge in farming. The farmer-participants was headed by the Chairman of Kauyagan farmers Association, Abdulkadir Adam.

The training has highlighted through the presentation of lectures that anchors in Goat and Banana Production, Management and Diseases made by HVCDP Focal Person Ramil M. Timpolok and Livestock Focal Person Dr. Bai Zharinnah D. Mangindra.
According to HVCDP Focal Person Timpolok, the training aimed to expand the ministry’s services towards Bangsamoro farmers and help them improved their economic status. “We in the ministry committed to deliver the services to our farmers as our mandate thru the leadership of our Minister Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob” Timpolok added.

Farmer participant Abduljabar Maki in his testimony message describe how useful the training will be in their daily farming activities. He said that after learning the modern technology, he assures that he will apply the additional knowledge he acquired from the training. “We will implement this technology and share it to our co-farmers.” farmer Maki said.

All the participants received Certificate of Participation, reading materials and assorted vegetable seeds. They also received 1 sack of ginger from HVCDP.
