BARMM towards digitalizing public service

COTABATO CITY- The Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG)spearheaded the ceremonial signing of the LeAPS Project Document and Government Financing Agreement in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

On March 4 at BARMM-READi Conference Room, BGC, Cotabato City.

During the activity, Dr. Selva Ramachandran, Resident Representative of UNDP Philippines, and Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, Minister, MILG-BARMM, signed the MOA.

LeAPS will be piloted to Municipalities of Butig and Piagapo of Lanao del Sur, and on its 5-year roadmap, it will be expanded to 116 Municipalities across the BARMM Region.

Localizing e-Governance for Accelerated Provision of Services (LeAPS) aims to transform local governance in BARMM thru service decentralization and foster a culture of innovation in public service delivery.

BARMM Government is encouraging the ministries to invest in using digital solutions for its service as it simplifies the business process to improve local public service delivery and make services more accessible to people.

In addition, Bangsamoro Director-General Taugan S. Kikay, Ph.D. of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, together with other representatives from the different ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government, witnessed the event.
