MAFAR administers oath-taking for newly-hired employees

COTABATO CITY- A total of 37 newly hired employees of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao took the oath of office and moral governance at Alnor Convention Hall.

On Tuesday, March 15, the 5th Mass oath-taking of MAFAR happened with 12 from the region, 11 Maguindanao, 8 Lanao del Sur, 4 Basilan, and 2 Tawi-Tawi.

MAFAR Bangsamoro Director Generals also took an oath, namely, Daud K. Lagasi, Ph.D., director-general for Agriculture Services, Pendatun S. Patarasa, director-general for Fisheries Services, and Taugan S. Kikay, Ph.D., director-general for Agrarian Reform Services.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob administered the oath of office, and Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abu Huraira Udasan facilitated the new officials’ pledge of ‘moral governance’ for the newly appointed via zoom.

In a statement of Minister Yacob, he stated, “As we take this oath, it is a manifestation that we are committed to serving the farmers, fisherfolks, and agrarian reform beneficiaries in the Bangsamoro region.”

Yacob said we are in the government agency; we are accountable for assisting and protecting the beneficiaries and being competent members of the bureaucracy.

We also ensure that every beneficiary will receive optimum assistance, and our main objective is to boost the economy in agriculture and fisheries. Further, to distribute the government-owned lands to agrarian reform beneficiaries.

In addition, the newly hired will undergo orientation on March 16-17.
