MAFAR-BARMM continues values transformation training for more employees

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform conducted Values Transformation Training, aimed to promote important values among the employees of the agency that are crucial in the development.

The training is in coordination with the Bangsamoro Development Authority in Venue 88, Hotel and Events Place, on November 15-18, 2021.

Around 28 participants, Muslims, and Christians, all belonging to MAFAR-BARMM, completed the training.

The participants learned the essence of embracing values in personal development. VTT topics include Islamic and Universal Values that Promote Development, Importance of Faith, Self-Purification, Islamic Values in Dealing with non-Muslims, Application of Islamic Values in Development, Pillars of Islam, Articles of Islamic Faith, and Values Enhancement.

Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph. D, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, said VTT is basic training that should be implemented in accordance with the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

He explained the importance of personal, spiritual, and universal values to every person’s undertakings in daily life in this world and in the hereafter.

He encouraged both the Bangsamoro and Non-Bangsamoro people to support the agency’s program such as this.

One of the participants, Chief of Staff Arphia Ebus, said VTT is important to strengthen respect among Muslims and Christian.

The value of respect to others regardless of differences in faith and culture is highly emphasized in the VTT, Ebus said.

Julie O. Maliga, RN, MPASR, Director for Admin and Finance, expressed her gratitude to the BDA for conducting “a very important training” to MAFAR. She said the activity is a way to strengthen their spiritual belief in Islam and contribute to the stability of the political structure of the Bangsamoro Office.

Maliga encouraged the participants to impart the lessons learned in the VTT to their families and fellow constituents.

Early on, Chief of Human Resource Management Section Hafsa Arab has announced its continuity plan for the upcoming Values Transformation Training for more employees in the next coming years.
