MAFAR break ground P4.8M infrastructure project for researchers

SIMUAY, Maguindanao- Researchers of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform are expected to benefit from a PHP 4.8-million Crop Pest Management Center under the Bayanihan 2 through the Bureau of Plant Industry.

Director for Agriculture Services Engr. Ismail Guiamel, Chief of Regulatory and Quarantine Division Jameer Guimba, Chief of Engineering Section Engr. Ashnaira Abdullah led the ceremonial shovel in BARMMIARC, symbolizing the start of the project construction on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

The infrastructure facility project will support government exertions in effectively managing and monitoring crop pests and diseases that implicate the production and productivity of various crops.

Director Guiamel said, “This demonstrates the continuing commitment of the Government to respond to the needs of our farmers for crop pests surveillance, monitoring, control, and management.”

“We also want to prioritize such needs to the Researchers to have a cohesive working place and improve the delivery of the services of MAFAR,” Guiamel added.

Moreover, Barrist Builders will construct the project and will be monitored by the Engineering Section.
