MAFAR breaks the ground for the construction of P1.4-M worth of Multi-Purpose Drying Pavements in Maguindanao

MAGUINDANAO-The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform thru the Engineering Section has conducted a simultaneous ceremonial groundbreaking of the three units Multi-Purpose Drying Pavement (MPDP) worth of Php. 1.4 million in the province of Maguindanao on March 10, 2022.

Chief of Engineering Section Engr. Ashnaira A. Abdullah said that the projects are allotted for the Pidsandawan Farmers Producers Cooperative in Brgy. Pidsandawan, Mamasapano, Roda Al-Maktoum Agriculture Cooperative in Brgy. Sapalan, Datu Odin Sinsuat, and Daladagan Amana Agriculture Cooperative in Brgy. Daladagan, Mangudadatu, Maguindanao.

Each unit of Solar Dryer has a total dimension of 14×30 meters with 100mm thickness that has a drying capacity of 80-100 bags with a total cost of Php. 496,906.64.

In a statement, Senior Agriculturist Engr. Muhaimin L. Ali said the end goal of this project is to aid the Bangsamoro farmers, thus improving agricultural production in the Bangsamoro region.

Meanwhile, Brgy. Secretary of Pidsandawan Anwar Gainal, Al-haj, thanked the MAFAR-BARMM for having Solar Dryer in their area.

“Libo-libo kaming nagpapasalamat sa buong pamunuan ng MAFAR dahil matagal na naming kinakailangan ang solar dryer at napakalaking tulong ito sa buong mamayang ng Pidsandawan,  lalong lalo na sa aming mga magsasaka,” Gainal said.
