MAFAR conducts orientation on DAR databases

DAVAO CITY – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform has undergone an Orientation cum Training Workshop on the Operational Tool (OpTool), Management Information System (MIS), Rules and Procedures of Inclusion, Exclusion and Deductible Landholdings to its employees.

On February 22- 26, the training objective is to capacitate the participants on the usage of the DAR Databases to track down the status and whereabouts of the undistributed landholdings (LAD Balances) and those distributed in terms of Subdivision of Collective CLOAs and Leasehold.

Chief of Agrarian Reform for Land Acquisition and Distribution Division Jarratul S. Rajid said the activity is updating land tenure-related records and data reconciliation with the DAR Central Office and the possibility of cleansing and updating land holdings still outside the OpTool.

The Department of Agrarian Reform used a database OpTool, and it reflects the list of landholdings for distribution.

She said the designated regional and provincial databases focal persons are new, hence the need to capacitate them on the operational technicalities of the database systems.

The re-adoption of Field Operation Files Systems (1-5) is a way to enhance data banking in terms of activities that fall under the Post-LAD, which is not captured by the OpTool and the Enhanced and Recalibrated OpTool System (EROS).

In the future, the Agrarian Reform Sector aims to develop a one unified/ integrated database system for LTI anchored on OpTool, EROS, and FO Files or even better than the existing databases.
