MAFAR conducts training on understanding GAD

 

COTABATO CITY | October 20, 2021

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform conducted a three-day training on Undertraining Gender and Development to promote gender equality within the Bangsamoro region.

A total of 30-employees from different services of the MAFAR regional office participated on October 20-22 at Golden Lace Resto, Macapagal Street, Cotabato City.

It aims to advocate the importance of gender equality, gain an appreciation for empowering the right of men and women and eradicate gender biases.

In his message, Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., stated his commitment to support the promotion of GAD programs.

“This training is purposely making you understand the advocacy of GAD and makes you exercise to give and respect the rights of everyone, minister Yacob said.

“This is the key to development because if every sector supports each other, we can deliver our services to the community that no one left behind,” he emphasized.

Spearheaded by MAFAR GAD Focal Person Diana A. Manalasal and was facilitated by the Bangsamoro Women Commission GAD Consultants Arnold S. Cararag, Mbaex, MDM, and Ust. Jihan Batiting, together with BWC MEAL Officer Janette M. Rojas and BWC Training Specialist Rohaniya M. Sumail.
