MAFAR, DA XII strengthens partnership for efficient implementation of programs

A consultative meeting of the Department of Agriculture Region XII and Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao was conducted to strengthen partnership among one DA family and stakeholders at MAFAR Conference Room, Cotabato City.

On Thursday, October 21, MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D. said, this meeting will lead to a harmonious relationship to institutionalize the effective and efficient implementation of the DA program in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The meeting aims to integrate resources and interventions of Agencies for farmers and fisherfolks to attain Masaganang Ani, Mataas na Kita and enhance agencies’ capacities in sustaining food security.

DA XII, together with attached agencies, the Philippine Rice Research Institute, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, Philippine Carabao Center, National Meat Inspection Service, Agricultural Training Institute, Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority, presented the programs and projects in support of BARMM.

Executive Director of DA XII Arlan M. Mangelen said, since agriculture has a productive resource to our people in both regions, we aspire to provide intervention to the farmers, to have masaganang ani at mataas na kita.

The partnership of DA, MAFAR and attached agencies will sustain and capacitate the program concerning food security in the region.
