MAFAR distributes 240 native chickens to farmer-beneficiaries

MAGUINDANAO- To maximize the production of Native Chicken in the region, the Halal Program and Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform continue to distribute Free Range Native Chicken.

On February 8-9, the target beneficiaries from Barangay Bago Inged in Pagalungan, Dungguan in Aleoasan, and Datu Montawal have received 80 heads of native chicken from the ministry’s Halal Program.

Engr. Saidona A. Lawan, Focal Person on Halal said, the distribution is part of the promotion expansion of the production of native chicken to be served as additional income among farmers and fisherfolks and later improve their livelihood.

The team reminds all the beneficiaries that the project will be closely monitored for transparency.

Sarahnie Mentang, beneficiary, thanked MAFAR-BARMM and guaranteed to take care of the intervention considering that it will be their additional source of income and help increase their economic status.
