MAFAR distributes goat, chicken to improve production in the region

SGA- The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform thru the Livestock and Poultry Management Section distributes around 65 heads of Native Goat and 100 heads of Free-Range Native Chicken to the beneficiaries in the Special Geographical Area.

On Thursday, February 17, beneficiaries from the eight clusters in SGA benefitted from the said livestock inputs after receiving assistance at the Sub-office of MAFAR-SGA in Kabacan, North Cotabato.

According to Senior Agriculturist Seeham S. Pangol, Banner Program Coordinator, the distribution of assistance aimed to maximize the production of Goat and Chicken along with the Region as an additional source of income for farmers.

Pangol said that before the actual distribution, such inspection was made by the inspectorate team.

Assistant to the Provincial Director for SGA and Cotabato City Disumimba D. Rasheed, remind each beneficiary to take their responsibilities by taking care of the animals and expanding the assistance.

Accordingly, the program’s success is also the ministry’s success, Rasheed added.

He said we also ensure that every beneficiary will receive further assistance, and our main objective is to help you grow through your farm activity.

The 65 heads of the native goat are allotted for the individual beneficiaries in which each of them received two heads. While the 100 heads of native chicken are allocated to the organization, the recipient of the native chicken will also receive one unit of incubator that could cater to 336 eggs in the following distribution.
