MAFAR FishCoral orients LGUs, workers on the importance of FARMC

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform- FishCoral, technicians and Illana Bay Local Government Unit has undergone an orientation on the resurgence of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Management Council (FARMC).

On November 12, Sandra P. Gani, the Project Coordinator, and Jeshia Serdoncillo, CRM Officer, led the activity in Golden Lace Resto, Cotabato City.

The activity aims to refresh the minds of LGUs and new MAFAR technicians on the importance and composition, responsibilities, and duties of FARMC.

This is to institutionalize the primary role of fisherfolks and other resource users in planning and formulating policies and programs for the management, conservation, protection, and sustainable development of fisheries and water resources.

Alimudin S. Pendulat, former FARMC Coordinator and consultant of Datu Blah Sinsuat, was the Resource Speaker, clearly explained every important and valuable point in the resurgence of the pending implementation of FARMC in BARMM.
