MAFAR-GAD continuous to empower women

Maguindanao-To further expand the promotion of peace and security for women, the Gender and Development (GAD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) continued the training on Organic Agriculture to the members of the Social Welfare Committee on November 23-26, 2021.

The second batch, with sixty participants, are SWC from Datu Salibo and Datu Saudi Ampatuan Maguindanao

The activity is a continuation of the recent training conducted for fellow SWC from Barira and Buldon Maguindanao last November 9-12, 2021.

According to MAFAR GAD focal Diana A. Manalasal, the activity is a significant step away from the programs dedicated to women.

“The GAD program in MAFAR has no purpose but to empower women and be part of the economic development, and we hope that this training will make a good contribution for you to have a peace and secure living,” Manalasal said.

After the training, the participants received vegetable seeds, organic fertilizer, and planting equipment to implement what they had learned.

Moreover, Ramil A. Timpolok, Senior Agriculturist, Lamia Aliman, Agriculturist II, and Norhanida A. Manda, GAD focal for Maguindanao, are the resource person of the activity.
