MAFAR officials rouped in 4th MANCOM for extreme Programs

Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform region-wide have gathered for the 4th Expanded Management Committee Meeting at Marcian Hotel, Zamboanga City, and Kasinnahan Hotel, Isabela City.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., spearheaded the activity and the MAFAR Basilan Provincial office is the host of the 4th MANCON on March 21-27, 2022.

“This activity is one of our chances to talk about the steps in formulating ideas on how to address the issues and concerns related to our beneficiaries,” Minister said.

 Minister added that this will be our basis on how to sustain the economic services of the ministry.

The minister reminds the participants to strengthen the services, especially in Operation, Marketing Assistance, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform services; hence these will help the ministry will provide for all the needs of the needy beneficiaries. It will also lead to a better future for the Bangsamoro.

Furthermore, MAFAR Basilan Provincial Director Hanie Muadz A. Junuban, JD, thanked Minister Yacob for the support and trust in their province.

PD Junuban said the gathering is a venue to improve wisdom on expanding the services towards Agri-fishery clientele.

To address the Agenda in the expanded meeting, a series of presentations including were the Presentation of Road Map 2022 on Agrarian Reform, Agriculture and Fisheries services, Physical and Financial Accomplishment Report for 2020-2021, and Presentation on Agreed Reconciliation of Finance Processes.

During the mancom, a field visitation was conducted in Basilan Province to visit the project areas and meet the different agri-fishery beneficiaries.

The first site visit was the Fish Cages and Fish Drying FishCORAL Project, Green House Rubber Processing, Seaweeds Buying Station, Tipo-Tipo Demo Farm, and the different coffee cooperatives in Sta. Clara.
