MAFAR OFFICIALS UNDERGO FINANCIAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP

COTABATO CITY | July 22, 2021

Twenty-three (23) financial officers from the regional and provincial offices underwent a Midyear Financial Assessment Workshop conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform in the MAFAR Conference Room, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

The goal of the activity was to discuss the systems, processes appropriately, and required documentation for financial transactions and reconcile financial statements to optimize the support needed for the operation services of the ministry.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., emphasized the utilization of the ministry funds for the year 2021 on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

“Our ministry is committed to improve the lives of the farmers, fisherfolks, and Agrarian Reform beneficiaries in the Bangsamoro Region, so in order to attain that, we, in MAFAR, should have a deliberate and strategic implementation of our funds.”

The financial services plans on achieving the zero balance of this year’s MAFAR allotted funds by December 31, 2021. MAFAR projects, activities, programs, and services should be delivered with transparency and accountability in the allocation of government funds.
