MAFAR PERSONNEL GATHER FOR THE RECONCILIATION OF THE PHYSICAL, FINANCIAL

To ensure the implementation of 2023 Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), Director of Administrative, Finance and Management Services Julie O. Maliga, RN, MPASR, led the physical and financial reconciliation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform on September 27-29.

At least 54 AFMS and planning personnel from the region and provincial offices attended the three-day activity at Davao City.

Financial Reconciliation is a vital process that ensures the validity of financial records. It is focused on Catch errors in data entry,

correct timing discrepancies between regional and provincial offices’ records and comply with financial reports on time.

The reconciliation meeting on physical accomplishment is to review and discuss the findings, progress, and outcomes presented in a physical accomplishment report of PPAs of FY 2023

Director Maliga said, “We are gathered here to discuss and compare the physical and financial accomplishments of the ministry from the region down to the provincial level.”

This is an important activity of the AFMS and PPMED to verify the validity and correctness of the Ministry’s financial records and address issues and concerns in the run-up to the implementation of the 2023 program and project management and organizational development of the ministry.

Meanwhile, Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., said, “One of the most crucial operations of the Ministry is the financial and physical reconciliation because we need to check and evaluate the physical accomplishment report to make sure that all provided facts and information are accurate, complete, and reliable.”

He said that this is further to enhance the capacity of the management team to review the direction based on the recent developments in BARMM aligning on the Bangsamoro Development Investment Program (BDIP) of the 2nd Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) 2023-2028, plan for action to accomplish its goals and objectives for the FY 2023, and also plan out the projects and activities in the year

2024.
