MAFAR pushes vaccination deworming in the Bangsamoro region

MAGUINDANAO- To ensure the sustainability of the Livestock project in the Bangsamoro Region, the Livestock and Poultry Management Section of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform conducted Animal Health Support in Barangay Nabalawag, Barira, on January 25, 2022.

The activity showcased the cattle vaccination, giving of vitamins, and deworming in support of the Cattle Feedlot Fattening Project under the Bureau of Animal Industry-National Livestock Program 2020.

According to Seeham S. Pangol, Regional Livestock Coordinator, the Cattle Feedlot Fattening Project was distributed to the beneficiaries last August 2021 funded under the DA National, which aims to help Bangsamoro farmers increase their economic status and maximize the meat supply within the Region.

Through the said activity, 11 heads have been vaccinated, including orientation on proper care and management of the cattle.

On January 20, 2021, similar activity was conducted in Barangay Datalpandan, Guindulungan, Maguindanao.

Twenty-seven (27) heads of cattle have successfully vaccinated and served in the said area.
