MAFAR TO DEVELOP REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform has allotted an initial PHP 1.5M to renovate and upgrade its Regional Training Center.

Engr. Ashnaira Abdullah, Chief of Engineering Section, said on Friday, June 30, 2021, the renovation works and improvements are currently ongoing to enhance the amenities of the 60-capacity training center.

Abdullah said, “preparations are underway to install the necessary materials for the renovation of the said training center located at Bangsamoro integrated agricultural research center, Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.”

“The improvement would allow the facility to host major activities and other programs hosted by the ministry. Within 106 calendar days, we are targeting to finish the project,” Abdullah emphasized.

Moreover, Engr. Saiden Abdul said the renovation and upgrading of the Regional Training Center are among the priorities of the MAFAR Engineering Section.

The move is supported by Tong Abas, Chief of Operations for Agriculture Services.

Construction works are now ongoing for the training center funded under the Bangsamoro Appropriation Act of 2020.

The new facility, which will also serve as a training center, will have modern amenities for various events, including a conference room and a dormitory that could host potential visitors.
