MAFAR WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL TEAM JOINS VOLLEYBALL FOR A CAUSE, SECURES 3RD PLACE IN CAMPAIGN AGAINST VIOLENCE

In a dynamic display of athleticism and solidarity, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform Women’s Volleyball Team recently participated in the Volleyball for a Cause tournament organized by the Bangsamoro Women Commission in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Sports Commission, marking the observance of the 18-day campaign to end violence against women.

Competing against nine participating ministries and agencies in the Bangsamoro Region, the MAFAR women’s volleyball team emerged as the proud 3rd place finishers.

The tournament aimed to raise awareness about ending violence against women by uniting teams with a shared commitment to the cause. Each participating team excelled in the game and contributed to the broader message of promoting gender equality and standing against violence directed at women.

The Volleyball for a Cause tournament provided various ministries and agencies a platform to come together, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. The event succeeded in highlighting the role of sports in promoting social causes and bringing attention to important issues.
