RICE SEEDS DISTRIBUTED TO THE TASKFORCE ITTIHAD FARMERS NOW GROWING
Proper monitoring has shown the growing rice crops that the farmer-beneficiaries from the Taskforce Ittihad in Barangay Masigay, Datu Piang, planted on April 2, 2020.
They received the rice seeds with NSIC Rc222 variety, from the MAFAR-BARMM on March 28, 2020 under the Rice Program of the ministry.
MAFAR Consultant Dr Taugan S. Kikay, said the farmers are very thankful to the ministry for the assistance they received.
“The farmers are ready for their fertilizer application and they are requesting for a training, through which, they can learn the most effective ways of applying fertilizers and other modern techniques as they are used to traditional ways of farming”, added Dr Kikay.
