RPCO-BARMM BREAKS GROUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FOUR GOAT HOUSE FACILITY IN MAGUINDANAO SUR

To start the implementation of the Goat Multiplication, Fattening, and Marketing Sub-Project, the Regional Project Coordination Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) commenced the simultaneous groundbreaking of the Goat House Facility across four municipalities in Maguindanao del Sur on November 15-16.

The ceremony marks the preliminary steps for constructing a goat house facility in the municipality of Guindulungan, Ampatuan, Datu Paglas, and General SK Pendatun, Maguindanao del Sur.

Engr. Baby Anne B. Usman, Rural Infrastructure Engineer of RPCO-BARMM, said the facility, amounting to 1.2-M funded by the World Bank with a European Union Grant, is expected to be completed within a 120-day timeframe.

After completing the goat house facility and the readiness of essential resources such as porridge and legumes, Michael Mamasabulod, Business Development Officer, emphasized that the next phase would be the delivery of goats to the beneficiaries.

Hon. Midpantao M. Midtimbang Jr. expressed his gratitude to MAFAR-PRDP for granting such a big project for the cooperative in their area.

“Alhamdulillah, for this goat project that already has a goat house facility, training, and even marketing assistance. As for the beneficiaries, we expect proper care to ensure the project’s success. We also assure you to have close monitoring and provide assistance for the effective project implementation,” stated Guindulungan Mayor Midtimbang.

The groundbreaking ceremony witnessed the participation of cooperative members, representatives from provincial and municipal engineering offices, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDC), MLGU’s, Barangay officials from the said municipalities, the RPCO-BARMM team, MAFAR-Maguindanao PRDP Focal, and MAFAR Municipal Officers.
