UPLIFTING FARMERS: MAFAR LEADS INITIATIVE ON FARMERS’ DAY IN AMAI MANABILANG

The Municipality of Amai Manabilang in Lanao del Sur witnessed a significant empowerment drive as more than 200 hundred farmers were provided with essential farm inputs during the celebration of Farmers’ Day.

Spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Lanao del Sur, in partnership with the Local government unit of Amai Manabilang, a diverse range of farm necessities, including vegetable seeds, corn seeds, and various other inputs, were distributed among local farmers on November 15.

MMO of Amai Manabilang Alriz Said highlighted that this initiative was a vital aspect of the 46th Amai Manabilang Day celebration. Alongside festivities, the focus was on providing crucial services to groups such as the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) Profiling, ensuring comprehensive support to the farming community.

MAFAR’s Agrarian Reform program has been instrumental, covering over thirteen hectares of land spread across seven barangays within the Agrarian Reform Community. This extensive reach has benefitted 756 ARBs directly, receiving continuous assistance and services directly from MAFAR Lanao del Sur.

This determined effort not only signifies a step towards sustainable farming practices but also showcases the commitment of MAFAR to enhancing the livelihoods of local farmers, ensuring their prosperity and growth within Lanao del Sur’s agricultural landscape.
